Here are some key facts about Bluehost, which I culled from dozens of Bluehost reviews:

1. Bluehost is one of the top 3 hosting companies that WordPress officially recommends (the other two are Dreamhost and SiteGround)
2. 24/7 live chat and phone support are mentioned as one of the top benefits in almost 80% of Bluehost reviews
3. Around 60% of all websites on the web are powered by WordPress, and Bluehost has built its features into place to make better use of CMS.

When you start building your first blog or website, the first thing you want is someone to help you with the process. As you move on, you feel helpless and everything seems out of your reach. And so comes the need for online technical support in which Bluehost ranks #1 as compared to other hosting services. I am not saying this on perusal of dozens of Bluehost India reviews above, but because I have tested their services through online chatting while starting my blog and can undoubtedly say that their technical support team is extremely helpful.

You can check the user experience of most of their clients who have consistently cited their customer service as a highly positive aspect of choosing to host a blog and that has been certainly my personal experience too. However, not all of your users will have the same experience, especially if millions of people are using the same product. So in some cases from the list here, you can see that others have very little experience with the company’s support team.

Of course, there are a lot of factors involved in influencing site loading times and the personal support experience and so, while most reviews rate these factors as their top priority, not everyone shares the same sentiment.

Here are a few more advantages and disadvantages that I wanted to highlight in my own Bluehost Idea reviews:

5. Their 24/7 live chat and phone support team are always ready to respond, but if the problem is too technical it may take a little longer than expected.
6. The statistical fact that Bluehost powers over 2 million websites and has been in business for 17 years (since 2003) gives me confidence in their long-term outlook.
7. Their sign-up process is fast and convenient but offers some non-essential upsells such as SEO tools, email services, and other additional security add-ons that can be found in free WordPress plugins.
8. While new customer pricing starting at $2.95/month* is very competitive, renewal rates are often 2x the introductory price which are slightly higher than others.

Which pricing plan is best for starting a blog?

Personally, I recommend choosing “Choice Plus 36 Months Price – $7.45/month” if you want to lock in the lowest possible price you’re willing to pay for hosting. That’s what I use. And, if you choose the 1-year plan, you’ll pay more than you paid the first time around. But, if you opt for the 36-month plan, then your value will be locked in for 3 years at this rate. Choosing the right package extras

Bluehost usually has a lot of premium add-ons that you may not need right away, so be sure to uncheck them before paying. I recommend keeping the domain privacy protections extra, but you can skip the rest if you choose a plan other than “Choice Plus.” In the “Choice Plus” plan, your domain privacy protection will be listed as “Free”, as you can see in the screenshot above. Their customer service and technical support team are incredibly helpful in getting your site live on the internet. While most Bluehost reviews I’ve seen are at least widely positive, it’s also important to know that some customers aren’t 100% happy with their experience (if they compare it with other hosting companies like DreamHost, SiteGround, or HostGator).
